Balyakalasakhi ബാല്യകാലസഖി Mammooty Film Malayalam 2014 Film 2014 Review

Balyakalasakhi ബാല്യകാലസഖി is a 2014 Malayalam romantic musical drama film written and directed by debutant Pramod Payyannur based on the 1944 novel of the same name by Vaikom Muhammad Basheer. The film stars Mammootty, Isha Talwar, Meena, Seema Biswas, KPAC Lalitha and Mamukkoya in lead roles.

മലയാള സിനിമയുടെ ചരിത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു നാഴിക കല്ലായിരിക്കുകയാണ് പ്രമോദ് പയ്യന്നൂരിന്റെ ബാല്യകാലസഖി. നിരൂപകരും സാധാരണ പ്രേക്ഷകരും ഒരു പോലെ സ്വീകരിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞു ഈ ചിത്രം. അടുത്തകാലത്ത് ഇറങ്ങിയതിൽ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച ചിത്രമെന്ന് പ്രേക്ഷകർ പറയുമ്പോൾ സിനിമാ നിരൂപകർ മലയാളത്തിലെ മികച്ച ക്ലാസിക് ചിത്രമെന്നു അടിവരയിടുന്നു. കൂലി എഴുത്തുക്കാരല്ലാത്ത മലയാളം സിനിമാ വെബ്‌ സൈറ്റുകളെല്ലാം മികച്ച രൈറ്റിങ്ങ് കൊടുത്തു കഴിഞ്ഞു. മലയാള സിനിമയുടെ നാനാ തുറയിൽ നിന്നും അഭിനേതാക്കളും ടെക്നീഷ്യൻസും ചിത്രത്തെ അഭിനന്ദിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്. മലയാളം കണ്ട മികച്ച ക്ലാസിക് ചിത്രങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഇനി ബാല്യകാലസഖി കൂടി കാണും. തിയെറ്റരുകളിലെ ജന തിരക്ക് ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ബോക്സ്‌ ഓഫീസ് വിജയത്തിനും അടിവരയിടുന്നു.

The film has received rave reviews from critics and excellent response from the audience. one india entertainment says "dont miss this flick,praises the excellent acting of mammootty,excellent direction give rating 3.5/5".metromatinee said "even it has some limits,it is a timeless and exciting classic". Kerala Boxoffice said "editing didn't raised to the occasion and carried many problems in the form of lacking a whole neatness.There were many occasions, when we didn’t quite get the continuity, give rating 2.5/5 claiming the movie is not in the level of novel. Also the chemistry between Mammootty and Isha Talwar was not impressive. Malayalam Net gave a good rating of 3.5/5 and said that balyakalasakhi is a stunning cinematic experience. Sibin Sivanand of Theaterbalcony gave 7.8/10 and praised Mammootty for his great performance.

Story of Balyakalasakhi ബാല്യകാലസഖി

The story revolves around childhood sweethearts Majeed (Mammootty) and Suhra (Isha Talwar). Born to rich parents, Majeed falls in love with his not-so-affluent neighbour Suhra. After her father's death, when Suhra struggles to make both ends meet, Majeed pleads with his father to sponsor her education. Refused, he wanders off to distant lands. Some of the other characters created by Basheer such as Ettukali Mammoonju and Ottakannan Pokker also appear in the film.  The launch of the film edition of the novel Balyakalasakhi was done by Leela Menon who handed over the book to Fabi Basheer, wife of Vaikom Muhammed Basheer.

Balyakalasakhi ബാല്യകാലസഖി Production

Mammootty officially launched the music by handing over the CD to the Raghavan Master's family. The film has six songs and four karaoke versions. The producers have employed Raghavan Master and Shahabaz Aman to compose two kinds of music — the classic and the cPramod Payyannur, a familiar name in Malayalam theatre and television, is making his debut on the big screen with the film. Mammootty was chosen to play the lead in film by Pramod Payyannur. He said in an interview with Malayala Manorama, "Vaikom is the home of the writer [Basheer], the character [Majeed] and also the actor [Mammooty]. Only a person who knew that place closely could imbibe that character in both looks and expressions. That search ended in Mammootty." On being quizzed about the inspiration to choose Kolkata as the location of the film, when Vaikom Muhammed Basheer has not referred to any specific city in the novel, Pramod says that Kolkata is perhaps the only Indian metro that still retains its old world charm and that it perfectly matched the setting of the film’s backdrop. Besides, Basheer is believed to have written Balyakalasakhi during his brief stay at a house in Lower Chitpur Road in Kolkata, he explains. Two seasons were shot in Kerala and Kolkata, West Bengal. The team began shooting in August, 2013 at Perumbalam near Vaikom. Mammootty began filming for Balyakalasakhi at Kolkata in October, 2013. The 18-day schedule included various places such as Victoria Memorial, Chhote Lal Ghat, in front of Town Hall.ontemporary — in the film.

Rating: 3.5 stars out of 5 For the really old, it is a trip down memory lane. For the not so old, too, it is nostalgia at a different level, a journey to a world they are so familiar with, a world of gramophone and Mangosteen trees that they had read about in Vaikom Mohammed Basheer’s autobiographic novels. Ragini MMS 2 Bollywood horror thriller 3D Movie Sunny Leone

Ragini MMS 2 is an upcoming Bollywood horror-thriller 3D film directed by Bhushan Patel and co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under Balaji Motion Pictures and ALT Entertainment.

It is the sequel to the 2011 horror movie Ragini MMS.Sunny Leone is playing the role of Bollywood actress as per close sources to the media.

Sunny Leone was chosen to play the lead role. She was offered one crore (about 190,000 USD) Indian Rupees for the role in Ragini MMS 2. In one bizarre incident during its shoot, a very costly lingerie worn by Sunny Leone was stolen from the sets, as a result of which the crew had to procure another priced at Rs. 50000.

The movie was scheduled to released in the month of October 2013. However, Balaji Motion Pictures officially confirmed the release date, scheduled to be on 17 January 2014. The release of the film has been further postponed to 21 March 2014.

A song titled 'Chaar Bottle Vodka' features Sunny Leone along with Honey Singh and was shot in Mumbai in January 2014.
